Description

In this image, two golden eagles had landed in a forest clearing in Skelleftea, in the far northern part of Sweden. These eagles were long-term mates and given the way they were calling, we thought for a few minutes that we were going to get some mating action. The male got cold feet, however, and flew away after several minutes.
