Description

In this monochrome image, a grizzly bear (brown bear) peers intently at salmon splashing in a nearby stream. Taken on a cold October day, a little south of the Arctic Circle on the Fishing Branch River, Yukon Territory.

Thanks Kimberly - I had it in color but had decided to go monochrome for many of the remaining images from this trip that I have not yet processed. That's definitely my personal preference for most of the bear images I have, including some in my home.

Thanks everyone who left kind comments below - they are much appreciated. This guy was dubbed Newt during our stay, and he was young, only one year away from mother. Hard to believe but he will still quadruple in size by the time he hits 12-13 years old!
