Title
Push and pull of the ocean - monochrome
Artist
Murray Rudd
Medium
Photograph - Fine Art Photographs
Description
This monochrome long-exposure shows gentle wave action at Ruby Beach, along the Washington coast. One wave is retreating, with the backwash leaving trails of sea foam behind, while a curved wave breaks, pushing seawater back up over the rocks again.
The photo was shot at 21-mm focal length and f/10, a 1.3-second exposure, and with the camera at 100 ISO. The high-resolution image has a 2x3 aspect ratio, can be printed large, and is well-suited for printing on stretched paper, canvas, acrylic, and metal finishes.
