Artist's Description
This infrared image shows the sweep of the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya and into the Serengeti in Tanzania. In monochrome, the greens of the rich rainy season grasslands show up as frosty, blue skies become very dark, and cloud details are more visible than they are in visible light. While the landscape is familiar, because object that reflect visible light also reflect infrared light, it is somewhat uncanny when the world is viewed 'in another light.'
