A bodhisattva statue in the Hanging Monastery near Hunyuan, China. This 1500-yr old temple is religiously tolerant, having side-by-side sculptures of Lao-Tzu, Confucius, and Shakyamuni, the founders of Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism, respectively.

Thanks Heidi. The artists that did a lot of the classical Buddhist art in China (and elsewhere) were amazing in that they could capture and embody the Buddhist ideals of compassion and humility in their pieces. This is the single piece that captures that for me more than any other Buddhist art that I've ever seen.
