A 3-year old male grizzly bear (= brown bear) stood overlooking the bank of the Fishing Branch River, Yukon Territory, on a snowy early-winter day in late-October 2018.

I absolutely love this! I just booked for my second season of photographing black bear in Minnesota this fall. They are amazing creatures and this is a shot worth the wait! The composition and the choice for black and white makes it even more striking!

Thanks very much Teresa. Black bears are great too, though I have far fewer good images of them than grizzlies. I've been to New Brunswick last couple of autumns and will try for bears there again this coming autumn.
