About this image
This Nova Scotia snowscape is very hard to put to scale - it is actually a gravel road cut by a small stream, now completely softened and sculpted by the high winds and blowing snow.
Image information
This image was shot with a 300-mm focal length at f/4, a 1/1000 second exposure, and with the camera at 400 ISO. As with all my photos and digital art, it was processed in Photoshop; I used Silver Efex Pro for the monochrome conversion and added some film grain to emulate an old school 800 ISO black and white film look. The image is a stitched image, created by merging two images together so it can be printed large. It has a 1x2 aspect ratio and it is equally well-suited for printing on matte, semi-gloss or glossy paper, or on canvas, acrylic, or metal finishes.
