Artist's Description
This is the Kvernufoss waterfall on the south coast of Iceland, which plunges about 30-m in one clean funnel. Just prior to taking this image I had slipped on ice in the valley below and, as I found out a week later when I got home, cracked a vertebrae! I was in so much pain taking this shot that when I changed lenses I was so scattered that I left my best Zeiss Otus 55mm sitting on a stone. Fortunately it was still there 4 hrs later when I hobbled back up this hill and I was able to retrieve it for the rest of this rather arduous trip.
