Shot with a very shallow depth of field, this image shows a pied kingfisher perched on a branch, staring intently as it watches for potential prey. The background at Lake Naivasha, Kenya, is soft, green, completely blurred, and there is some bokeh where daylight shinge through the heavy forest canopy.
