Artist's Description
This grizzly bear (brown bear) was scary smart. She would stand on the side of the salmon stream, a small slough off the side of Yukon's fabled Fishing Branch River, swat snow into the water to scare the fish downstream, and then run down the river bank to this spot, her favorite promenade out into the creek. Once there she got so excited about seeing a big ripe female salmon below that she just plunged straight into the water (successful in her fishing efforts too).
