A cougar at Two Rivers wildlife recovery center seemed to be drawn by the whirring of my camera shutter, allowing for a slightly intimidated portrait as it quickly approached the enclosure fence. Taken in Cape Breton Nova Scotia, Sept 2019.

Thanks MaryJane. Now all I have to do is get a shot of one in the wild! I grew up on Vancouver Island, so constantly saw prints around my tent in the morning, had them watching I found out later. All my travels around backroads and trails, I only ever got a fleeting glimpse of one once.
