About this image
This golden eagle image, shot in far northern Sweden, was captured while shooting out of a hide with an opening for lenses right above snow level. The eagle had been well over 100 m away and then did a straight run towards the hide. The clouds were just thin enough that there was a little bit of shadow under the bird as it approached.
Image information
This photo was shot at a 560-mm focal length at f/5.6, a 1/500 second exposure, and with the camera at 160 ISO. As with all my photos and digital art, it was processed in Photoshop. The image has a 1x2 aspect ratio and it is equally well-suited for printing on matte, semi-gloss or glossy paper, or on canvas, acrylic, or metal finishes.
