About this image
This winter monochrome photograph of caribou in the snow was shot in mid-February 2021, at the Two Rivers Wildlife Park, a community-run non-profit society, on the Mira River in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. This is a recovery center, so animals that can be released back into the wild are, and those that cannot because of their injuries or those born in captivity and unable to survive in the wild, are kept.
