Title
Lone photographer enjoying an isolated Peggy's Cove sunset
Artist
Murray Rudd
Medium
Photograph - Art Photographs
Description
After an unsettled late-afternoon, the cloud formations on the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada, made for a beautiful sunset. This dusk image shows clouds and ripples along a puddle blowing in straight from the west with the lighthouse directly in front of the setting sun. A lone photographer is silhouetted to the right of the image and orange-purple evening light reflects in the rippled water.

Beautiful, capture . . . that, I have added the photograph, to RED MAPLE’s . . . mini encyclopedia, in the RED MAPLE GALLERY, group, to visually explain Peggy's Point Lighthouse, at Peggy's Cove!
Murray Rudd replied:
Thank you very much Maria for highlighting this image - Peggy's Cove has so many incredible images, I am flattered!

Beautifully composed to draw attention to the lighthouse, and then to the photographer!
Murray Rudd replied:
Thanks very much Andrew. I shoot out at Peggy's Cove a lot and yet this is only the second time I've shot from this angle. My preferred location, a small puddle on top of a seaside granite outcrop would have been awesome a few nights ago but it had some kind of bloom of green algae obscuring the reflection, so I had to venture about and find another puddle. This time of year, the sunset happens to line up directly behind the lighthouse.
