Artist's Description

About this image

A fishing dory and coastal scene taken in infrared, on the shore in the town of Bonavista, Newfoundland, September 2019. And, no, the gulls were not photoshopped in there - they really performed to perfection while I set up and took the shot!

Image information

This image was shot with a 27-mm focal length at f/7.1, a 1/100 second exposure, and with the camera at 100 ISO. As with all my photos and digital art, it was processed in Photoshop; I used Silver Efex Pro for the monochrome conversion. The image has a 4x5 aspect ratio and it is equally well-suited for printing on matte, semi-gloss or glossy paper, or on canvas, acrylic, or metal finishes.
