Description
An epic November African sunset highlights a lone Acacia tree in the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya. This is a stitched panorama, shot with my best 55mm lens, and with 3 regular images stitched together into this high-res Mara sunset.
The Masai Mara National Reserve is in the far east part of Kenya, bordering the Serengeti national park across the line in Tanzania. The grasslands of 'the Mara' support all kinds of wildlife, birds, and reptiles. Many of the migratory species do a great circle annually culminating in the famous Great Migration, which features wildebeest and zebras stampeding through the crocodile infested waters of the Mara River. I personally prefer visiting the Mara in the rainy seasons when there are far fewer tourists, more baby animals (November), and the epic thunderstorms that give some of the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets I have ever seen.
